Warwick Audio Technologies has appointed Andrew (Boris) Samalionis as its International Sales Manager.
Boris, who has 20 years experience in audio engineering and sales, is excited to be working for a company he says has “success written all over it.”
“This company is producing one of the most exciting audio technologies I have yet seen,” he says. “Even in the short time I’ve been with the company the technology has advanced to the point where it’s good enough for any everyday audio system: it’s phenomenal to be making that sound out of something as thin as a piece of paper.”
No stranger to state-of-the-art audio technology, Boris brings a wealth of experience from previous roles. As business development manager for KEF, for example, he worked to increase awareness of the company’s range of audiophile-quality speakers and develop dealer relationships. In a similar role, he also worked for Arcam, the award-winning hi-fi equipment manufacturer, as a custom installation business manager.
Prior to working for Arcam, Boris was head of sales support for the Cambridge-based Meridian Audio, a highly specialised company producing state-of-the-art audio and video systems.
At Warwick Audio Technologies, Boris will be responsible for expanding the company’s international client base and is already talking to a number of household names about including Warwick Audio Technologies’ speakers in their products.
“We are generating genuine excitement about this product, and that’s a fun thing to do,” he says. “There are so many applications for the technology: TVs are getting thinner and so are laptops and these products are going to need thin, good quality audio.
“At the same time car designers are tackling some interesting problems where having loudspeakers that are low weight and consume little power will be of enormous benefit. I think we’ll be seeing Warwick Audio Technologies products in some exciting places very soon.”
